5 Questions to Ask Before Considering Any Peptide
May 28, 2026 · 5 min read
The most valuable thing you can do early on isn't picking a peptide — it's learning to ask the right questions. Here are five that cut through most of the noise.
1. What is the actual evidence?
Is there human clinical research, or only animal studies and anecdotes? "It worked for someone on a forum" is not evidence. A good consult helps you find and interpret what real research exists.
2. Is it FDA-approved for this use?
Many peptides are either not approved at all or approved only for a narrow, specific condition. Knowing an item's regulatory status tells you a lot about its safety data and legality.
3. What are the realistic risks and unknowns?
Every intervention has trade-offs. Reputable guidance is upfront about side effects, contraindications, and — importantly — what simply isn't known yet.
4. Does it interact with my health history?
Your medications, conditions, and goals all matter. This is a question only a licensed provider who knows your history can fully answer — which is why we always point you back to one.
5. What would success actually look like?
Defining a clear, measurable goal up front keeps you from chasing hype. If no one can describe what "working" means or how you'd measure it, that's a red flag.
